Butterfly Valve
A butterfly valve, also known as a flap valve, is a type of simple-structure regulating valve used for on-off control of low-pressure pipeline media. It features a closing element (disc or butterfly plate) in the shape of a disc that rotates around the valve shaft to open or close the flow passage. This type of valve can be used to control the flow of various fluids, including air, water, steam, corrosive media, slurry, oil, liquid metal, and radioactive substances. In pipelines, it primarily serves the functions of shut-off and throttling. The opening and closing component is a disc-shaped butterfly plate that rotates around its own axis within the valve body to achieve opening, closing, or flow regulation.
